I'm thinking about putting a sapphire in this pendant.

Valeria or anyone else with Photoshop skills, could you show me how this would look with a blue sapphire as the center stone?

If so, THANK YOU in advance!

Here it is without a center stone:

I think it would be stunning!! Really!!

LOL, Patty, I tried to insert a sapphire and it looked like it came out the wrong end of a chicken. That''s what I get for trying to be artistic with no talent!

What is the diameter of the stone? It always feel good to do a bit of hunting ...

I think a bright sapphire in that necklace would look great!

Show picture when it is done.

Thank you for your imput Kaliegh, diamondbob, and jcrow. Matata, thank you for trying to help me! You should have seen my blue blob that I put in it using Photoshop!

Belle, that is amazing, thank you!

Valeria, the stone is 6.5mms. Wink said that it would take about a 1.46c round sapphire of that size would be about $263.

I'd love to try to match the sapphires in my three stone ring...

One more showing the color of my sapphires...although I know it''s hard to get a good idea on a computer monitor.

Last one...

i think the blue looks better in the pendant that the original center stone! stunning!

Patty, I really think that the contrast of the blue sapphire with the diamonds will enhance the look of the pendant. Sounds like a great project. Good luck choosing the stone! Please post along the way : )

I wish you well,

Bridget

This one with Topaz Square Cushion

Beautiful, thanks!

I''m a huge sapphire fan so I''ll probably stick with a sapphire, but I love the idea of a square cushion shape!

That is Belle's and thenI played around in Photoshoop and darkened up the sapphire a bit.

And thank you for your input, Kaleigh, Bridget, moviezombie and SanDiegoLady too.

Patty,
I like the darker version better. Just so long as it''s not too dark. Yummm. Can you tell us where you found the halo?? It''s so pretty. Some day I would love one!!!

I think it looks gorgeous with a blue sapphire! May I ask where the picture if from? I have a yellow sapphire that i''d love to put in that kind of setting.

oooh it would be FANTASTIC! of course, I am rather partial to those lovely octagonal halos

i too just love that halo

where did you get it patty? add me to the list of wanting one!
here''s yet another darker version...

LOL, Icekid, I think you have GREAT taste!

I bought the pendant from an individual who posts at BTD. She works for a jeweler and had it custom made.

I do know that BTD sells a round halo pendant semi-mount, though.

It is similar to mine but without the diamonds on the bale...and it''s round, lol.

Here is a picture of it:

What if it was a natural stone that did not fit the sidestones in the ring?

Wow, Patty, that is going to be beautiful with a sapphire.

You mean did not match the sidestones?

It doesn''t have to match perfectly but I''m pretty sure that I want a sapphire.

And I think a natural sapphire would probably be too expensive.

I was thinking of THIS or similar (Listing. #14126 on this page).

That is beautiful. It's a spinel, I see.

I don't know anything about them.

It looks like the price would be comparable to a Chatham sapphire.

Ana,
I know nothing about Spinels either. Can you tell us about them???
