I''ve seen great ideal-scope pictures on loose diamonds and great testimonials. For those of you that have them, how well do they work on mounted diamonds? Can you get an image as good as one on a loose diamond?

Thanks

I would think not. I believe I saw a picture somewhere. You wind up seeing shadows where the prongs are.

The Ideal-Scope is the only instrument that is effective with mounted diamonds. Unless the diamond is set in some way that blocks all light from the back, it ought to indicate if a diamond is a capable performer or a poorly cut one.

Prongs or normal size would have not material effect on the I-S view of the diamond.

IdealScope performs very well with the Jubilee in split prongs
