Amen. Too many diamonds have been wrapped in tissue paper or kleenex or cotton, and then mistaken for trash and thrown out.
A five carat red was once thrown out in this manner by the wife of a Jewish diamond dealer in pre-War Germany. It''s never been found.

They were in a hurry, because the Nazi brownshirts were pillaging, looting and burning that night.
It was the infamous night of ''Kristallnacht'' (night of the broken glass), in November 1938 pre-war Germany.
They went back and searched through the burned rubble of their home many times after that, but never found the diamond.
The dealer said to his wife, ''Echhh, oi vey. You are a lot of trouble, my love.''
