Hi everyone,
I'm searching for just the perfect diamond and setting, which is a challenge and an adventure. Specifically, I know my girlfriend likes three stone rings with halos around each stone. Here's one that we saw at a local retailer which really caught her eye: http://www.robbinsbrothers.com/Engagement-Rings/3-Stone/Robbins-Brothers-i26506.ring... This setting is going to be about $2,000.
However, after reading through the information here at Pricescope, and doing a few searches, I'm not sure that I'm finding the best vale on this ring. Of course, if I purchase the ring locally, I will need to also buy the center diamond there as well, and the best that they can do is $2,800 for a .62ct SI2 with excellent cut and E color, IGI certified (I would not purchase the ring with the stone as listed online - it's not certified.). It's a beautiful stone - but it seems just a bit overpriced.
Could anyone here give me some tips on searching for a setting that is similar, so I can do a little comparison shopping? I've searched through the vendors listed here, and so far haven't seen something similar. What my girlfriend really loves is a narrow band, and three diamonds with halos, that are set close together. I'm not as concerned about the total expenditure, as I am about always knowing that I put the effort into finding the best value and best stone that I can!
Thanks so much!
Sam
