I have a diamond graded by Anton Nash as a 1.32ct round, H, I2 w/a good cut. The dimaond is clear to the naked eye with a gray hue. Under 10x there are a milion teeny tiny carbon spots (gives a gray hue, just can't see them with the eye cause they're so tiny!). Anyone have any idea what it's value might be? Thanks for any suggestions.

Anton Nash is a well regarded appraisal company here in Colorado. Didn't you talk to them about value?

Actually, I did not; we didn't discuss value. I bought the diamond represented as a J Si & did not agree with that grading. After posting here years ago, he kindly offered to look at the ring for me and sent back a detailed report - no price, and that was back in 2003...

I actually think it was RockDoc who offered/evaluated it. Was he with Anton Nash?

9 years later I doubt they're be able to do any sort of appraisal without reinspecting the piece but it will depend on what sorts of records they keep and their policies on this sort of thing. Give them a call and ask. If what you're looking for has to do with insurance or legal matters like an estate you're going to need to get a full and current appraisal anyway so call them or your favorite alternative and start over. If you're looking to sell it, you might want to start by getting a few bids from professional buyers.

RockDoc's (Bill Liberum's) company was called 'Consumers Gem Lab'. He was in Florida and before that in Pennsylvania. I don't think he was ever with the Nash people out here.

It's not for insurance purposes, and I don't care to have it reappraised, I really just wanted a rough idea of what I might be able to get for it as I'd like to sell it. Thank you.

"Professional buyers"?

Pawn shops, 'estate liquidators', certain independent jewelry stores, the guys with the spinny signs on the street or screaming commercials on TV. They vary quite a bit depending on where you are but Googling 'jewelry buyer <your town>' probably will produce ads for several of them.

Oh, LOL - Thank you!
