I have been looking at a princess cut that is supposed to be 1.21 carat H color and vs2 for $4200. It measures 5.78 by 5.48 by 4.36. Its depth is 79.6 and its table is 76. I wonder if the numbers really add up to a 1 carat and is the price good.

I don't know how thick the girdle is but with a weight estimation formula (lxwxd x .00836 x wcf) I come up with 1.15 carats. The girdle thickness or pavilion bulge must make up for the rest of the weight.

That's a very deep princess. You're losing a lot of spread with a 79.6% depth and though the price is good for 1.21 cts you'd essentially be getting what will look like a 1 ct stone.
