My mom has a pair of Tiffany diamond studs my dad bought her in the 80s. She recently went into a store (flagship, I think) to have them cleaned, and she was told they aren't Tiffanys because the diamonds don't have the Tiffany mark on them.
My mom has all of the original paperwork (which is stored in a bank deposit box; my mom has not brought them in to the store), and we KNOW they're Tiffany (as my dad bought them directly from a Tiffany store). Were Tiffany diamonds even marked back then? If not, how can my mom show Tiffany & Co that her earrings are authentic?
