HoW spessartite pendant :)

First the background story... My sister purchased this 6.52ct spess almost 2 years ago. The gem itself is too dark and brown/red for my liking (and indeed I tried to talk her out of purchasing it for these reasons) but it is clean and well cut. The gem just seemed to "speak" to my sister - so she bought it with the dream of setting into a pendant. She hasn't been able to come up with the funds to have it customs set and didn't want to put it in a temporary one and so it's been sitting tucked away in a draw.

Her birthday (a big one) is coming up in February so I came up with a lightbulb and asked to "borrow" the gem

Little does she know I ended up sending it to Sally to have set - my birthday surprise for her

Sally just finished it recently and I just had to share pictures of the finished piece... (oh and I have to also add that Sally has been fantastic to work with!)

The setting looks very pretty - is it possible to get a photo dead on of the stone itself so we can see the color too?
