wear my hair for the wedding? My hair looks almost exactly like this photo -- perhaps a tad shorter, and the bangs sweep over to the side a bit more. But it is layered/feathered all around. If I wanted to do an half-up/half-down style, what can you do with so many layers? I should mention that I HATE the way I look when I do not have hair framing my face.

Could you keep the shortest layers as face-framing curled tendrils? Then you could do whatever you want with the longer ones...half-up, all down in the back, all up, whatever! Anything that normally goes into a ponytail is fair game for putting back in a half-up style, right?

I''m totally with you on having hair frame your face - I''m the same way so I''m going back and forth about half up or all up.

Anyway, what if you swooped your bangs to the side (and do whatever you have to do to make them stay there: pins, hairspray) and then pulled up the sides and secured it closer to your forehead than on the back of your head (Does that make sense? I think you''d have to do that because of your layers.) Then have the rest of your hair either smooth or curled (if your hair will hold curl) and attach your veil right behind your bangs.

i have mine like this too and im sweeping everything over the side of my face and putting the rest of with a couple tendrils hanging down :)

If you look at my wedding pictures, I had mine exactly as you described. It was pulled back at the crown but I still had some pieces framing my face. My hair is pretty thick so I was able to do this.

Here is an example... hope you can see my hair. It looked really nice in the back

That''s pretty! Still formal, but romantic as well, and you get the face framing effect.
