How often is inventory restocked?

Hello,
I was just wondering if someone from one of the internet vendors can tell me how often your inventories are updated and how often you get new diamonds? For example, how quickly do you remove a diamond from your inventory once it is sold? How often do new diamonds get posted in your inventory?

Just wondering b/c I have been keeping my eye on GOG H&A diamonds in the 1.5-1.9 ct range and the WF expert selection diamonds in the same range, and it seems as though there have been very few additions in the past several months.

Can it be expected that more diamonds will be appearing soon b/c of valentine''s day?

PS- If there is another post about this, I missed it, so just point me in the right direction.

I think it''s somewhat radom as far as the supplies being upped.

And the size that you want, sslkrissi, is very popular, as I''m sure you know.

Excel/SuperbCert has 5 right now in that size range...

It depends on the size of the diamond.
I believe John said WF gets new shipments in every 4-6 weeks.
GOG isnt as regular from what Iv seen, he will add a bunch then just add one or 2 here and there then add a bunch again.

Diamonds in that size range are very hard to get there was a mess with rough pricing that will cut into that range a while back so the supply is near zero.
From my understanding the rough was priced more than the polished was selling for so the cutters said no thanks.
That could have just been rumers but the shortage of diamonds in that size points to it being true.

Wow. I had no idea that they only got in new shipments every 4-6 weeks. That seems like a pretty long time. But, what do I know, I''m not in the diamond business. I guess the demand for them is less than I thought.

I''ve noticed this too.

I''ve been monitoring the under 70''s at GOG and haven''t noticed a change in ages.

I''ve now sent some emails in asking for a specific diamond and am waiting to hear back form them.

I just asked someone at WF this exact question today. (And I am also looking in the 1.5-1.99 carat range)
She said that it all depends on what gets sold (Makes sense) If the 1.5s that they have now do not sell, they will not be trying to get more.
She also told me that roughs in that size are very hard to come buy right now so it is even more difficult and expensive.

I think it depends on the size of stone you are looking for. The ~1cts get restocked very frequently and there is always an abundance of choices. The 1.5-1.9s are hard to find. I''m waiting for 1.8 for a possible upgrade. Hasn''t happened yet!
