HI, I just bought my diamond and just found out about HCA.

the GIA Report is here
https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=2287074488

I put it in HCA and it got score 4.9 (pretty sad)

This is the first time i purchase diamond. and it cost me a nice $8500

Just want to know how much is this diamond should be worth if you were the one buying.

will it look dull on the 4.9 score from HCA?

Have you seen it in person? You can do much better for the price.

I personally like E-F-G and on a round brilliant, I'd even go down to an eye clean SI1 or even 2 with verification from a person that performance isn't impacted.

i bought this online, and i am not aware of the HCA before hand. diamond is still on shipping.

You bought a classic "steep-deep" stone. It will almost certainly have light leakage due to the uncomplimentary angles.

will it look dull on the 4.9 score from HCA?

Cancel the order or send it back.

to be fair I live in Indonesia, so expect price to be abit expensive compare to the state about 10%, yup i have cancel the order (the owner is kinda my friend). I am looking to switch to this one. what do you guys think?

Much, much better! Good crown/pavilion combination...table and depth are good range.

so colour is not that important after all? the most important is to have super ideal cut?

Most people on this forum value cut over all else, but it really depends on what the diamond owner prioritizes. Is he/she color sensitive? Will seeing some tint really bother the wearer?

I can almost guarantee no one can tell the difference between a G and H. Also, going for VVS1 or VVS2 is overkill I think...you can get away with eyeclean VS1 or VS2 and get an even larger stone for the same money.

That one is more promising. As for clarity, for some people the diamond has to be "mind-clean". That may be where you're coming from. Otherwise a VS or even SI1 eye-clean stone will perform as well as VVS. Buying a diamond is all about compromise. Ex: I like RB stones to be colorless and I can easily discern color differences so I sacrificed on size. You may or may not want to compromise on clarity. Figure out what's important to you.

As for how much you would pay, do a search at the top of the page for diamonds with the same specs.
