Stupid question, but what''s "DH" stand for?

Net or Gross? That's an important distinction, as Mara cited.

Original ering was about 2 months' salary at the time (I think) and upgraded ering was two of current months salary (his alone), both gross. I guess we're trending for the cliche.

I love the diamond commercial regarding the salary the guy should spend! I always point out to hubby that he has cheated me and I could have some serious BLING if he'd follow the rules

Didn't have $$$ for an engagement ring so my first diamond would be my 15 year 3 stone anniversary ring, which was 1/2 of 1 month of hubby's salary

HI:

Twenty years ago--two months salary. My DH always reminds me he bought my ring instead of joining a private golf club here in town...hence ten years later I could have no scruple kicking up a fuss when we subsequently joined.....I would almost think he planned it that way?????

cheers--Sharon

All depends on the post, could mean any of the following .

Dear Husband Dorky Husband Desex Husband
Darling Husband Disgrace Husband Damn (for MC)
Dumb Husband Dishwasher Husband
Drunk Husband Diamond Husband
Dream Husband Desperate Husband

I'll think of more later.

He spent around 1 1/2 - 2 months which being that I am the higher earner it was a lot for him to spend but then again he is a boy who still has the first dollar he earnt. His tightness is a bit of a a standing joke so I was really suprised when he spotted and suggested the ring he did.

.

Well, since we were in college, my original e-ring was his entire summer internship salary and then some(so I had to vote 3+ months)...but the next year when we both graduated had jobs, it was less than one month of his salary.

But my upgrade was (sick as it sounds) closer to the DeBeer''s ads.
