I spend a LOT of time on here...more than I should probably admit! But I love you guys so much! I don''t always post replies (mainly because if I do a really really good one...it says error and I get mad and don''t want to re-type it all).

So PS''ers...confession time! How much time do you really spend on here (includes just reading and not responding!)

not as much time as i used to.. now, how much time i spend on the computer... well my lips are sealed. most would be appalled!

Probably through out the day...an hour.

P.S. If I get an error I hit "preview" and then "submit" and it ALWAYS takes care of it without retyping.

Depends on how bored I am that day!

It's a really great way to fill some time if I'm stuck waiting around at work without anything to do but go online. That's been happening a lot lately.

Ditto!

Way, way too much. It''s a great way to fill up my time when I have other things I should be doing and need something to procrastinate with...

I spend way to much time here, probably at least a couple of hours a night

Lately a lot more than usual. I sort of go in waves. No way am I counting though! I don''t want to realize how much time I could have free to do housework.

I am very curious about this. I''m not sure what you mean. Do you click the back arrow to get to the page to click preview after getting the error page? If I can understand this, it would be amazing news to pass along! I know it has happened to me many, many times, and I can''t stand to retype a longer message!

I can''t get on here at work, but I stay on most of the evening on and off.

Totally depends on the day. Today, when I am home sick, way more time than I care to admit

On a busier day, sometimes none at all.

I spend way too much time here. Several hours total throughout the day and night.

I get an error msg...then it usually shows my post again but won''t let me re-hit "submit". I DO have the option of "preview" so I hit that and it shows my msg again and then I can hit "submit". Most time I get the error I have added a emoticon. (I hope this makes sense)

I have one of those jobs that mostly just requires me to sit there like a lump answering phones. I do have sidework - but not usually more than I can complete before lunch. I pretty much am the definition of Office Monkey. And I hate it. But it pays the bills and comes with great benefits. So..... I spend a LOT of time on PS. When I get to work I log in and usually have it minimized on my computer all day. I'll finish one set of busywork, come on for a few and post, go to the next set of paperwork and so on. And on the days when all I have is the phones....... I'm on here all day.

Granted I get about 700 calls a week (County Switchboard is one of my duties...) but they usually only last 15-30 seconds.... I suppose there are worse places I could be!!!

ETA: I also check in a few times once I get home. This place is like crack. But good crack.

Seconds on a good day...

Believe it or not, I just replied to you and got the error message:

Error Message
Unspecified error. Please report this error to the webmaster of this board. Thank you.

Detailed error information:
Transaction (Process ID 73) was deadlocked on lock | communication buffer resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

When I get that page, it does not show my post. I have to go back to the reply page, but the message is gone. :-(

Way too much! I am a slow typer AND reader so it takes up a lot of my time.

Me too - thats what happens to me.
No idea about this preview button

I have taken to CC'ing all my posts before hitting submit (if they are longer than a couple lines).

Oh, and to answer the question - too much!

it depends if there''s a good fight going on or not.

Probably too much! Depends on my work day (I''m a teacher so I usually PS during my lunch and some times during a plan period here or there...naughty I know!) but then I often times log on once my daughter goes to bed.

Way too much to be honest. I love my PS family and this is by far the most respectful, best forum I''ve ever been a member of. But I spend too much time here.

I''m considering contacting IT and blocking the site during the work day. I''m waiting until I can get my internet fixed at home before doing that.

I just got the error msg too:

I was trying to say too much. Ah well... after the wedding I''ll still be here cause I like reading and helping where I can but probably won''t be as much.

Way too much time...but I love it and can''t help myself (help me!)

I am at a computer ALL day and I get bored easily. I should stop, but I CAN''T.

Not just yet anyway.

Too much!

DS, I hit "try again" or you could hit the back arrow, highlight and copy the response and go back into the thread to start a new post then paste the message. I have never retyped one.

I get that error message too, all the time. I always hit the back button, copy my message, hit back again, hit reply again, paste and submit. Usually works the second or third time. If not, I just give up

Today I''ve been having trouble uploading an image. It keeps giving me: "

An error occurred saving file to disk: Object required."

That''s a new one for me.

I might be wrong, but I think this error happens when you are submitting a post at the exact same time as someone else.

I am on PS a lot. Honestly. I''ve also been on here a LOT longer than my registration says. I was a full time lurker and only came out when I got my engagement ring. SHAME on me haha.
