how much shuold i spend for a 2 caract diamonds?

Unless you are dead set on that clarity, you can easily knock it down to VS2-SI1, which would lower the price a nice bit. I''d shoot for G also.

very true and if you don''t get exactly a 2ct but say 1.9 you will save $$ on that too (and you really can''t tell the diff btwn 1.95 and 2ct). I did this. I wanted 2ct but also wanted best cut. I shifted my prirorites...got a better cut and a stone that was a little under 2ct. GL
