What is kinda funny is im voting for a democrat for governor in Nov. in IL I dont agree with him on guns or taxes but he did a very good job seeing the state through the worst of covid so he is getting my vote.
If covid gets bad again he will also have the guts to make the hard decisions.
Unlike many Governors he stood up and was a leader.
I do not trust the Republican candidate to do the same.

Its not the first time I have voted for someone from another party than Republican.
Whats funny is my Democrat friends think I'm right wing and my Republican friends think I'm a closet lefty.
It is the 2a issue that most separates me from the Democratic party <--- note party, not people.

I always used to wonder why someone could be a one issue voter. but I understand now, because I am one.......for quite a different amendment.

I read It’s largely symbolic. He’ll challenge it in the courts , per usual, and that process will likely extend it past the committee’s time frame which ends in a couple of months. Maybe he’ll be slapped with contempt of Congress?
