How much is your jewelry insurance premium?

I currently pay about 1% of the insured value (annually) with State Farm. My e-ring is only $6500 so the insurance is very inexpensive. How about you? You don't have to share the value if you don't want to, just the percentage and the insurance company.

Also, do you insure just your e-ring, or do you have multiple pieces, like wedding band etc. insured?

Is it possible to pay less than 1%?

My insurance (Chubb) is around $1 per hundred in coverage..so $325 for $30k of coverage (which is about 1%). I don't cover things I don't wear often or that aren't too expensive. I only insure my diamond solitaire, diamond studs, and diamond pendant. I really don't have items insured that are under $5000 in value. But the items above would be painful to replace without insurance.

When I was shopping for quotes, I saw slightly under 1% for really low-crime counties.

I pay around 1.5% thru USAA but I have specific items insured and then I have a blanket covered insurance policey which covers any piece of jewelry that is under XXX amount. I like the blanket insurance because that way if I lose a ring/ gets stolen or something that I don't wear often it is covered.

I pay 2.5% for only my engagement ring under my home policy. Seeing the rate you guys paid I really think mine are quite expensive.

I only ensure pieces that, a) I wear every day (or close to), and, b) I can afford to pay the insurance on without feeling a twinge at throwing money away, 'cause on the off-chance that I lost them, even 20 years down the line, the insurance would pay for itself. I pay something like ... 2% a year for my coverage? In NYC. Jewelers Mutual, love 'em.

I pay 1.5% with Travelers and it's on my homeowners insurance. I had a claim a few years ago and my premiums didn't go up.

What is the minimum amount of coverage needed to use Chubb?
