how much are you paying for gas in your area?

If you live in Colorado, check out getting gas at King Sooper's. If you have a rewards card you can get gas there for as low as 2.95/gallon! I'm lucky that DH is a manager there so we get an additional 10% off our gas as well :loopy:

$3.48 per gallon in Southeastern PA.

And Yay for USAA - our car insurance is SO cheap...and they're amazing!

3.90 in So Ca. Im not driving ANYWHERE I dont have to right now. :knockout:

Bought it for $3.37 (regular) in Houston, TX yesterday.

$3.71 Here in the New Haven CT area. Luckily my roundtrip commute to work is only 5 miles :D Last time I filled up 2 weeks ago and it was around $3.36 or so

Hopefully I get another week out of my tank

$4.04 for regular (SF) and killing me.

Metro NY/NJ area:
$3.35 per gallon for regular. Can't tell you any other because I fainted when I saw that.

$4.09/gal. for Supreme on 3/7/11. Los Angeles.

I paid $4.15/gal for premium today.....luckily dh and I both get our gas expensed through our jobs.

$3.39 for regular in metro Atlanta.

I filled up last week at $3.37 gallon. Today it was $3.49 in SE PA. There are 2 gas stations just over the bridge from New Hope, Pa to Lambertville, NJ but they are as expensive as PA. Another 10 miles down the road from there in NJ it is 20 cents cheaper. Driving there and back would eat up the savings,

Today, at the exact same station/location as I always go to, was 20 cents more per gallon then a few days ago. Guess it's time to fill up every other day with the prices going up so quickly. :knockout:

Hey Soocool, My dh and I go to New Hope and Lambertville every few months. One of my favorite jewelry places is in Lambertville :appl:

$4.19 for regular... :knockout:

Monday, 3.75 and on Tuesday 3.81. I don't know why I waited a day to fill up.

I wonder if prices will get much higher once we get to Memorial Day?

the record high for our area was June of 2008? when regular hit $4.75.

when I did all the conversions it's $5.04/gal. Fortunately now I drive so little that I buy gas once or twice a month. When I lived in the US my commute was 72 miles each way. :knockout:

I'm also in Fairfield County, Connecticut, but my favorite gas stations (the ones with the lowest prices) are all in the $4.19 to $4.29 range today-comparable to Dancing Fire's and gemgirl's in the Long Island, New York area-I wonder if you buy a different grade gasoline than I do? I get regular.

Please note that davi was posting in early March! Prices went up since then! New Haven prices are generally lower than Fairfield County prices, but they may not be as low as they were when davi posted in March!

~$4 in south central Indiana. I drive an SUV with an 18 gallon tank so....yeah, $70-some to fill a tank=no bueno. I walk to work most days. We'll keep the Jeep until I pay it off in 2 years or less and then get something more fuel-efficient for me. I'm looking at purchasing a bike to ride during the warm weather months after we move next month so I can ride to work instead of walking. I kind of can't wait!

I paid 3.99 yesterday. Still not that much of an increase. But I also waited 10 minutes before I could get to a pump. That's the cheapest gas station in the area. There are some places that are 4.13-4.25

$4.09 per gallon mid-grade in Northern Virginia. With Giant grocery store discount program with Shell gas station, it was 10 cents off, so I paid $3.99 per gallon. To fill up 18 gallon tank = almost $70.00!

It's becoming so traumatic watching the price gauge go up that I wait till my low fuel light comes on before filling up.

I'm still using my Fred Meyer rewards card so for the lowest-grade regular it's $3.81 and then 10 cents off = $3.71. That's the cheapest I found. The rest are around $3.81-4.09 for low-grade.

I just paid 3.89 for regular earlier today :angryfire:

I dont use regular (per my SOs request???--I dont see what the difference is and would just buy the cheapest but he insists he can tell when I do!!). I was in New Haven yesterday and gassed up there...it was a little lower. 4.60 was in Stamford...we have a condo there we are remodeling and will use as a rental property. It has been sitting empty for 2 years...time to make some extra cash! :$$): I live in Trumbull though. Stamford/Greenwhich has the most expensive gas in CT :nono:
