I''m no expert on diamonds, but of the name Jean Phillipe Evremont De Joinville that the starter of this thread mentioned is spelled wroing, it could be referring to Phillipe Entremont - famous french musician/composer/conductor who was born (I always thought) in Rheims.......Joinville-le-pont is only 60 miles from Rheims....perhaps he was born there (and not rheims itself)

So Phillippe Entremont De Joinville may be a reference to him........he was a jet set pianist,conductor, born in the 1930''s. performed extensively in the US and all over Europe.....
