How many pairs of black shoes do you own.

Just wondering. I have... more than a few. I am getting rid of two that are brand new just because I had my 'bargain' hat on, instead of my 'you will actually have to walk in these' hat on. But I was wondering what the average number of black shoes folks own are.

When I get home, I'll count mine and post.

So, I probably have (only to answer this post/question) FIVE pair of black shoes. Those include: black leather Reef flip flops, black leather Nine West open toed stilettoes, black leather Enzo sandals (with heels), black leather Nine West Mary Jane heels, and one pair of black leather Naughty Monkey calf height boots with adornment. That's it. I really need to expand.

Hahahaha, my dear...S bought them for me last winter from Amazon. I saw a pair (same brand) that I really loved, and he went on ebay and found a very similar pair that he liked better and they were part of my Christmas present. They are calf height with some adornment aka buckles on the outside of the heels. Otherwise, pretty plain and not tall enough for my (unfortunately in this case) long legs. You are welcome to borrow them...shall I ship them to NM? LOL!

Well, I am embarrassed! In the Midwest, you need at least a couple pairs of black boots (hooker boots aka to-the-knee-leather boots) and wear-to work boots (mid-calf, with maybe a 2 inch heel conservatives)...black flip flops, black sandals with a heel for going out, black sexy heels with a 4" somethin' somethin' and maybe some adornment, black flip flops with jewels or something bedazzled, black "going out" shoes, and black "I'm entertaining" while wearing my LBD shoes...black close toed pumps with a 3" heel for being serious and professional at work, etc.!

Sadly, only 3. One pair of sandals, two pairs of heels. I lost all of my fall/winter shoes/boots during our flood a few months ago. I think I lost a dozen pairs of shoes and boots. I spent 2 hours shopping for shoes this morning. I can't find a pair of black boots or slides that I like.

black flip flops

black sandals that at least have a good sole and over the foot support system aka tevas?

black open toed, low heel shoes for going out

black open toed, high heeled shoes for going out

black closed toed shoes with a sensible heel for meetings

black closed toed shoes with a higher heel for meetings

black boots for when you travel to colder climates with some sort of a heel.

I have no clue. A freaking LOT. All my shoes are black (I'm sure nobody is shocked!). I have many I've saved over the years that I don't wear anymore, too. For brevity's sake I'll just list the Fluevogs I own (http://www.fluevog.com) I own, because they're the most interesting... I'm a huge Fluevog fan. Fluevogs are the most absolutely utterly comfortable boots and heels in the universe as well as being really neat and off-beat style-wise... they're oddball enough, many of them, to not look out of style in a few years because they were so different looking to begin with, at least IMO. Plus I can remember most of the 'vogs I own!

Fluevog knee-high Derby Swirl Angels x3 (er. yes. three pairs of $350 boots- first pair bought in college, worn out, got another pair used off ebay, and the last pair right before they were d/c'd). They look like knee high combat boots with curlycues stitched into the sides.
Fluevog Mini Sugar knee high boots with corset style lacing up the outside of the calf (comfiest 3" heels ever!)
Fluevog F-Shoe Hi Ceces (sadly discontinued)- look like knee high verrrry platform motorcycle boots, x2 (one pair bought new and worn to shreds, second pair used off ebay)
Fluevog Coffee Macchiato black pumps- just got them yesterday and they're utterly gorgeous, many many buckly straps and slingback style
Fluevog Bellevue Pearl Hart black pumps- they look very Victorian with webby straps and are about 2 1/2" heels
Fluevog Lift Offs in about three styles- the oddest looking shoes ever, very Jetsons looking and are weirdly comfy despite how impossible they look. This is a colored version of one pair I have http://www.fluevog.com/gifs_2/fluseum/flame_lg.jpg.
Fluevog Money Walker sandals x4- these have the Angel combat boot sole and a huge metal ring in the center, SUPER comfy. Four pairs- three I've worn into the ground, one brand new pair left that I broke out at the end of this summer. Discontinued, sadly.

Probably there's more I'm forgetting...

I'd love to get a pair of knee high Fluevog Grand National boots.... someday. Those are crazy, as well as crazy expensive even used and I probably couldn't even walk in them, lol. But I'd look very decorative sitting down!

(I have zillions of other black shoes. Zillions. Two dozen? I don't know. I save everything much to DH's annoyance!)
