How many members do you have on your ignore list?

At the moment, 4 though it may be time to remove one.

I love Pricescope's ignore feature.
It mirrors screening phone calls, FB defriending, picking your friends IRL, and not answering your front door when you know it may be that gull-durn axe-murder again.

I admit I have standards.

People vary.
Some don't meet my standards when it comes to taking up my time in forum conversation.
Some people are just more trouble than they're worth.
Same thing IRL.

Out of every forum I have ever posted on, I have only ever had to use an ignore/block button once; on a different forum and due to an overly-zealous animal rights activist who was hell-bent on making me vow that day to never hunt or fish again, albeit in a very nasty and vicious manner.

I'm pretty breezy otherwise and get along with everyone, if I am reading an opinion or something I don't like then I just skip along to the next post or thread if I am not interested in learning someone's point of view. I can even deal with Kenny's occasional comments and fire back with a one liner

I have none. If I don't like what I read, I just move on. I don't take much of it personally - what's the point? I also don't go out of my way to incite riots. Live and let live!

0. I scroll past posts if I'm not interested, and I don't think its 'fair' to write off an entire person. Even the people I disagree on certain topics still post about other things that I'm interested in.

I don't ignore based on political beliefs. I ignore based on nastiness. Sometimes I peek but it is better for me if I do not read their posts because my health is more important to me than any shit starter on PS. There is a difference between having a discussion and being hateful.

How does the ignore function work? There are just gaps in a thread yes? If I have someone on ignore and another person quotes the ignored person does the quoted text appear in the unignored person's post?

There is a line where the post would be that says the person is on your ignore list but if someone quotes their post then you can see it.

I had no idea "ignore" existed here. I can't think of anyone to bring it out for. What I value about pricescope is the wide variety of people here and I've learned a lot when I've asked for help and advice.

(Now that I think about it, there was one poster a few years back who posted creepy stuff about his wife and their relationship but he hasn't been back. I would use ignore if he was still here posting about his wife.)

For some odd reason, and unlike every other forum I frequent, PS doesn't call it 'ignore'.
PS calls it the unnecessarily-hostile term, "Foes".

To access it and no longer see the posts of a person ... at the top of this screen click on "Welcome, kenny" (with your screen name replacing mine)



Then click on the blue tab for "Friends and Foes".

Depending on context, whenever I feel like it, I'll click on the purple "Display this post" of someone I'll have on ignore.



It only shows that one post, but does not take them off Ignore.

0 - Most of the people on here are decent people, even if they have different political, religious and generally different points of view. I think if you need to ignore people because they upset or offend you, then you possibly shouldn't be looking at or commenting on those posts.
