YT, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to talk about it here--keeping all of those emotions internal has to be very difficult. You can always talk freely here as many have been in your shoes.
We have a 10 month old daughter. We'll try for #2 at some point this year, I'm constantly wavering on the timing of our second. In my gut I feel like two is likely it for us. If money were no option, we might go for three. As it is, I think two would provide the most balance in our lives. I'd like to continue to work and we'd like to travel with our kids in the coming years. I think three might make those things very difficult, but who knows.
And, of course, our two dogs are considered our first "kids". In many ways, coordinating travel and care for the pups is more difficult, but they are a big part of our family.
