how many diamonds for a half eternity

Do you guys think that 7 stones will be enough to create a half eternity look for this ring? http://www.artofplatinum.com/4images/details.php?image_id=472 I have the work order in front of me and now I am second guessing myself if 7 will be enough or if I should go for 9? I have a size 5 finger. I plan on calling tomorrow but I want to have an idea going into the conversation.
