How long for a Scott Kay repair?

Jared''s Galleria sent my diamond and ring to Scott Kay to have the prongs fixed, the diamond sets and the ring polished. Jared''s quoted me an 8 weeks turn around time from Scott Kay, I do know they sent it 2 day overnight UPS so shipping time wasn''t an issue. But 8 weeks seems really long to me for a repair (or maybe it''s not?). It will go back to Jared''s when it''s completed and they''ll contact me to come pick it up.

Has anyone had a repair done at Scott Kay? How long should it normally take? My Jared''s SA did say that Scott Kay was behind due to holiday sales and closed shop time...

gosh, 8 weeks does seem like a really long time just for a repair. I guess you''d have to trust Jared''s that the delay is due to the Holiday''s. Maybe they will end up getting it done sooner!

When I asked my jeweler about Scott Kay''s repair time, I was told two weeks. I can understand that it would take longer because of the holiday, but I think that eight weeks is a bit much.

Maybe they just quoted you eight weeks to cover themselves. If it came back in two you''d feel really lucky!

I think eight weeks is a bit much though - can you contact Scott Kay to ask them yourself?

Thank you! I am going to Jared''s tomorrow to buy a watch and plan on asking if they have any updates. I did fill out the online form at Scott Kay''s asking how long a repair of the prongs and setting a diamond would take, but never heard back. There''s no phone number on their website either. Does anyone have a contact e-mail address or number?
