How is everyone coping with lack of regular beauty treatments?

Omg please stay safe! Fingers crossed for you!

I'm very surprised though to hear that Singaporeans are being so lax! I had assumed that people are taking precautions, especially w/their experience w/SARS, MERS, H1N1, etc.

I'm shocked myself....as I said elsewhere, still too many Covidiots!

And thank you. x

I'm pretty low maintenance - hair cut once a year (it's long) do my own hair dye, nails, brows etc. Just get my lashes tinted occasionally (usually before a beach holiday). I stocked up on basic toiletries and skincare items sooooo I'm all set.

I'm WFH at the moment so really enjoying painting my nails crazy colours and wearing bright/bold lipsticks that I'm too chicken to wear to the office!

I used to go to luxury salons for my hair, weekly massages and nails, and frequent waxing. I realized that it takes too much time to go to all of these appointments and it wasn't worth it to me. I rather spend that time with friends, family, volunteering, on hobbies, etc. So I stopped going 1-2 years ago and also stopped using make-up, I just get my haircut at a local place for $20 and that's it. Interestingly enough, I feel and look way better and younger! Less is more and I get to focus my time and energy things that bring me joy. Having said that, I believe when it comes to beauty and fashion, people should do whatever makes them feel good!

In current beauty news, today around 9 am I realized that my hair, for the first time in over a decade, is now long enough to put back into a ponytail! Cleaning the powder room sink around 9:30 I looked in the mirror and realized that in those intervening 10ish years my face has become too fat for me to sport such a look. Oh well; easy come, easy go...

I'll be fine on this, as I don't go anywhere for beauty treatments & do my own nails. I thankfully did a bulk order on my face lotions & potions a couple of weeks ago as there was an offer, and I also colour my own roots every few weeks & have colour in the cupboard. But there is plenty of hair colour still in the supermarkets here to buy should I need to. The girls managed to keep their hair appointment on Friday afternoon. Phew!

My hair is curly so it can last longer than most without a cut, but it was due in a couple of weeks & has been cancelled. So I will probably look like a wildling by the time I can get it trimmed again!

dont much care about the length of my hair I only get it cut ever couple of months, my nails I do nothing to..but dang those dark roots in my hair are starting so show...I have my hair dyed blond every 5 weeks and was due last week and my natural color is darkish brown...apparently at almost 60 I still have quite a bit of dark hair instead of gray.....

I am so so happy I went gray 2 years ago and also got rid of my gel nails. The length of my hair doesn't bother me but its breadth does. I'm going to get bushy and will have to tame it with a whip until I can get it thinned. I did get my eyebrows laminated on Monday to see if all the hype is real and they turned out great. Don't know if I'll do it again, once life returns to the new normal, but it was a fun experiment.

Pretty low key, but need some Mac undereye concealer. Can things still be ordered? I used to just pop in and buy...

I’m trying to take off my acrylics as we speak. This is going to take forever. After that the bangs need trimming.

@AprilBaby Yes, taking off acrylics sucks! If you ever get into gel or even just gel polishes, I use a peelable undercoat and that seems to really help. You can google it for brands. My DD2 has all the equipment including a drill to do her own gel nails. She's done gel polishes for me, but she can create all the most crazy trends out there too. Currently I have nothing at all on my nails, and they're breaking left and right.

I am lucky that even though I am in my 60s I have never had to color or highlight my hair which is still dark brown. I only started getting manicures after discovering pricescope and getting my beautiful ring! So for now I am doing without manicures and pedicures and will just trim my bangs myself.
