How important is H&A

I have been lurking sucking up all the great information here and am about to make a purchase. I am wondering how important is it to get a H&A cut in the diamond.

I am deciding between two diamonds, both with AGS reports and that score 1.2-1.4 on the HCA. Which would you recommned. Both are eye-clean.

With the limited information you provided, I would choose the F SI1 diamond and save a few hundred dollars. An F color is still within the colorless range and will face up very white. Make sure to have the diamond examined by an independent appraiser to verify the grading and guarantee the quality. Best of luck!
