How important are hearts and arrows?

Hi all,

Asking another pretty general/broad question here, but hoping for some candid feedback, please! How important is it to have a diamond with hearts&arrows, vs a diamond that doesn't fall within that range? What are the benefits to a H&A diamond vs another 3x diamond that happens to not be H&A?

I've read tradespeople on here say that from the naked eye a stone with close h&a symm and perfect h&a symm. And that's what h&a is, the symmetry of the diamond. It doesn't automatically equate to a fantastic cut.
Some people want the best of the best, and want to pay for it. Same reason people buy d diamonds or IF diamonds.

However, slight compromises in cut, just like color or clarity, aren't necessarily a bad thing. I personally appreciate getting the most "bang for your buck" vs the absolute top of the line. Everyone is different.
