How heinous is this Rose Quartz Ring?

It's (very) cheap rose quartz and silver. It's (very) big. And, that's about it.

How bad is it? :)

A) OMG... my eyes! Get it away from me, ew!

B) Um, it's ok.

C) Me likie.

Just how heinous do you think it is? I liked the colors and design pictured online (it didn't really look quite like this), but once I got it,.. I can't say that I like it anymore.

B. I liked the setting but I think the stone leaves something to be desired.

Thanks for the feedback. The setting and kind of old-fashioned style is what I liked about the online photo of the ring, but the rose quartz doesn''t look.. um.. rose quartz-ish to me. The purple around it is rhodalite. It''s a cheap ring, but I think it might look even cheaper than it is.. too "gumball machine."

I like the ring style but the center rose quartz is too light in color. I''d replace it if I were to keep the ring.

I would say the reverse - I like the stone but not in that setting - maybe this is a case of two rights make a wrong?

I actually like it.. not as an every day ring, but I do like it.
I agree.

I like it and would wear it.

It is not my style, I have wee fingers, but I like it. hth

I like it too.

I like it, but you also say that it''s very big so with that in mind it may be too gaudy when worn. Have any handshots?

I kinda like it.

I give it a B...looks like it could be a fun ring to wear!

It''s not bad. It''s definitely more of a cocktail ring, not an everyday ring.

I like it (esp the setting). The center stone needs polishing, I think, it looks cloudy to me. Then again, maybe its just me. Would you change the center with another stone, say a diamond cushion shape? Just a thought.

It''s okay to me. The center stone looks a little light colored to me. Almost more like a milky quartz than a rose quartz.

I see it more as a pin than a ring though.

B. It''s Ok. I''ve seen {and worn!}

worse!!!

category: B- or C+ for me

I think it''s really pretty, even though I never wear anything so big.

If it was a free gift from a much loved relative, I''d wear it when they were around. Otherwise, it would sit in my drawer, I''m afraid. If I were you, I''d return it. Sorry.

I think it''s cool!

Thanks for the honest feedback everyone. :)

It wasn''t quite what I was expecting, but I''m starting to like it more.

I''ll try to take handshots later- it definitely is larger than what I''d usually wear.

A friend gave me a gift card, so I got this. This was about the best thing I found that I liked at that cheap level.

I could replace the center stone I guess-- hadn''t thought of doing so, but it would probably make it look much less costume-like if I did. The center stone would probably look better alone, but next to the rhodalites, it''s so pale.

I was planning on getting an everyday ring, and this appeared smaller online (it didn''t list measurements). But, I guess it''s decent enough for a fun cocktail ring instead.

I agree, B.

Looks kind of fun! You''d have to post hand shots to get a better idea how it looks. First impression is that it''s cool.

I think I would wear it with the right outfit. It needs a bit of himsy or humour to pull off I think.

I''d rate it a B for others and an A for me.

Thanks, all. :)

I''ve ended up keeping it.

It looks better and more shimmery at night, so it actually might make a decent casual cocktail ring.
I''ll have to try to take a better photo of it. I''ve come to like it better- I wouldn''t want 10 of them, but one I can do.
