Culet looks quite off-centered to me... is it just me???
could be the stone is a bit tilted??

Pass - the center is dead
I agree under the aset the center would almost show no return at all.

Pittsburgh, good you went through the trouble of getting the IS!

What are your search parameters wrt color, clarity and budget? I''m sure folks here would be delighted to help you find a "kicken" asscher.

note the leakage zone is indicating this stone is back lit.

I do not like that - but most vendors seem to do it.

The only dark leakage facets are the ones sitting on the black.

So vendors photograph the diamonds on a black background to make them look better by giving them more contrast?

level over black in difused lighting is good.
sitting on the side and backlite is the worst of the worst position.
In this case it confirms the IS was telling the truth so they are good enough.

But the problem I have here is that the diamond is recieving light from behind that is entering the pavilion.
That is close to cheating in my book.

How about this one? How will the center look?

Better - the center will reflect your head face on and close up - but it will sparkle in the dark area as you rock the stone.

But we try to avoid ''dark zones'' which come about from
1. leakage
2. head obstruction

And in this stone there is a fair bit of leakage right beside the dark IS obstruction.

That will probably make a lot of the center dull and not interesting.

i.e. i would not put it in my store

Need more pics and if possible an aset image.
Ones that look that way can go both ways.
Its better than the other one.

It might make a decent bright drop.
