Hi everyone,
I''m a newbie, I just got engaged a few weeks ago, and my ring is a 2.54 carat center stone emerald cut (G VS2) ring. The band has .62 carats of round brilliant/pave on the band. I have been cleaning it fairly often- a few times a week- and it is so hard to keep the table of the center stone clean! Any suggestions?

ps- I keep getting error messages when I try to upload pics, so here is a link to another post that shows the ring.

I take off my jewelry before washing my hands and never use lotion if I am wearing them. They stay very clean that way and I do clean them daily.

Thanks for your response- I do take it off every time I wash my hands, and go to the gym, and I don''t even put it on in the morning until after I''ve done my hair, applied lotion, and done my makeup... I think reaching in my purse to get things all day puts prints on the table or something... That and people who want to see it, and then put their finger Directly on it!

A polishing cloth is your friend.

I clean my rings every day that I wear them but I find that the tables on both my EC and RB get fingerprinted, smudged, whatever after I have cleaned them. I just breathe on them and polish them up with my t-shirt or some other cotton piece of material [or my glasses cleaning cloth in a pinch!] and that seems to do the trick.

Beautiful ring, BTW!

Thanks guys! I keep my glasses case in my purse, so I can use that polishing cloth.

Don''t you just want to smack someone''s hand when they want to touch? I actually keep windex at work to clean my rings up if I get in to something.
