Hi all,

Well, I am wondering how anyone can choose a ring around here???? I think I have something set in my mind, and then BAM! I see someone elses and I want that one then!

My DH said once I choose my new ring, I''m not allowed to look on here anymore....due to the fact he is terrified I will change my mind again!

hahah, we women are fickle hey? always want what we dont have.

You''ll eventually have one shape/style that will continually appeal to you over and over....at least that is how it happenned for me!

I''m like that too, but I ended up going with my first choice, first instinct. I compared everything I saw here to my first choice, and somehow the first choice always won.

Hi! I know what you mean - it is totally overwhelming.

I suggest you try settings on in person so you can seew hat they look like on your hand, and go from there. Some rings look GREAT on some people, and not so great on others. :) Good luck!

Welcome to the club! Lol! I pretty much know I want a well cut G or H, VS1 or2, round brilliant around 1.5 cts. But there are about 4 settings that I love and cannot decide between! Of course, I am not having an easy time deciding on the diamond either! And I want a great deal, of course!

"As God is my witness, as God is my witness they''re not going to lick me. I''m going to live through this ..."

And the award for Best Drama Queen goes to........Sevensone!!!!!!

as Sally Field said:
"I haven''t had an orthodox career, and I''ve wanted more than anything to have your respect. The first time I didn''t feel it, but this time I feel it, and I can''t deny the fact that you like me, right now, you like me! "

Oh for heavens sakes.

Keep looking and you''ll find the one soon. I know what you are talking about though. I just recently decided to go for a new setting with pear side shaped stones (like Kaleigh''s beautiful ring). When we first looked for at engagement rings three years ago, this WAS one of the styles that I gravitated too. My husband thought it was too much bling at the time though.

I agree with the others. You will probably find one that you gravitate towards...Maybe stop looking for awhile and then start again? Or, choose THE ONE and be confident in the fact that you can always get other styles for your other hand, in diamonds or gemstones..

I know how you feel, I was so much like that when I was looking at engagement ring styles, but you do find yourself gravitating towards one particular style, especially when you go and try them on. I have the ring of my dreams, but I still find I want a 3 stone ring with side pears, a solitaire with plain band and just this weekend I went into dream mode and tried on a 3.26ct I, IF pear in a high end store here in Saudi Arabia and it looked a dream..... that''s all it will be though, a dream!

My dh chose the original design (x-prong platinum) and a 1 carat stone and although we upgraded the CUT of the stone, he will never let me upgrade my set. He''s a very traditional guy and I love him for that. He wants these on my hand the rest of my life so we just got a killer center stone. That will be it for me. I can''t even wear play sets on that hand because he gets upset. I have my favorites on here.........slammies ring for one, but I''m stickin with what I have.

Well, I most of the regulars know I''ve been all over the map in trying to choose a setting

. i even have a few threads about it

. What really helped me was going and trying them on in person. I thought I wanted pave, then switched back to a classic solitaire with eternity band, then I visited Pearlmans and tried on just about everthing and was ablt to narrow it down the the more delicate pave styles because they looked way better on me. I''d say take your time and keep trying stuff on. This site is a great place to get ideas on styles. I had never seen many of them until I found Pricescope. Have fun looking
