How do I sell stuff on Craig''s List?

I''ve sold a ton of stuff on Craigslist over the years.... air hockey table (went like a hot cake), sofas, chairs, cake pans, stereos, DH''s nasty plaid recliner I wouldn''t let into the house.....I''ve bought stuff as well (got a fabulous antique bedroom set for the guest room). At any rate, the best think I can tell you is to write good descriptions, include good pictures and be patient. Patience is almost the #1 thing IMO. People flake out, they try to get you to sell it for way less and they don''t show up. I''ve even had people have their friends email me posing as buyers trying to get the price down. They''re downright sneaky. And I know that''s what they were doing because they used company email and the address was too specific to be coincidental. Just trust your instinct and if something sounds fishy, run, but you know that already.

Bizarre! Wonder if that's happened w/my listings. lol I'm using a hotmail account as my CL account and do not include my full last name to protect myself. Many use their full names, though, so I look them up. hahaha One buyer said him and his wife were teachers located nearby and I looked and sure enough, one taught at a school about a mile down the road.

The woman was very nice and my neighbor was weed wacking right outside and it felt like a safe transaction. Neighbor knows I'm selling during the day so him and his wife are keeping an eye on me. lol Not sure if it's more about safety than it is about curiosity over how much they could make if they put a few of their unneeded items up! His eyes lite up when he saw ze cash.

(and I trust him! Just think he's might try out a few items, as well!)
