How do I know the certificate matches?

I bought a diamond online, how do I know that the certificate is actually the stone''s certificate? is it possible to check the laser number inside by taking it somewhere?? I have 10 days to look over and make sure I want the stone but I hadn''t thought about this.. Should I just trust and hope it''s okay? any thoughts??

Who did you buy it from? I really wouldn''t be concerned if it was from any of the Pricescope vendors. If you are than get it appraised.

I am sure it is fine considering the source, get a cheap 10x loupe, then you can check yourself that it matches, if it is a high clarity grade then this wouldn''t work, or take it to an appraiser as suggested to get a quick check.
