Hi all,

I've been lurking and learning for a while and trying to find a good stone for my girlfriend. I love the value of MMD and have really enjoyed reading a lot of the threads in here

I bough this 2.09ct F VVS2 HCA 1.4 from rarecarat for what I think is a decent price. The IGI cert lists as hearts and arrows.

They don't have ASET or Ideal Scope images for lab stones so I picked up the starter scopes to see what I got.

I'm no pro at reading these, but they look decent to me. Thoughts?

Also attached a little video of me struggling to get the camera to focus on the diamond...

Just double checking that your GF is ok with man made diamonds? The 41 pavillion is a potential issue, but overall it looks pretty good. Hard to tell whether the images have overly strong backlighting or if there's leakage.

Yes, we both are ok with MMD for a variety of reasons!

I used a tablet with white screen for the backlighting, wasn't paying too much attention to the brightness. It might have been a bit high. I'll play around with it today and try to get some better images

I just took these, turned the backlighting down about 50% from where it was. I didn't have it too high to begin with, after checking.

I see what you mean with the lighter red or pink in the center.
