How cold is it where you are?

I''m in Atlanta and it''s about 25 right now. The high today was 30. It was 19 this morning when I started working with a wind chill of 4. They say we could get some snow on Thursday. They''re only calling for 1/2 inch in the city, but believe me, that''s enough to shut this place down. We''re not used to it. The grocery stores will run out of milk, bread and beer tomorrow night. I''m headed to Baltimore on Friday and I am NOT looking forward to it!

I''m headed to Chicago next week and New York the week following. I''m really hoping this artic air lets up at least a little before I head even further north.

Who''s got the warm spot? It can''t be cold everywhere!

I''m in South Carolina. Highs have been in the 30s lows in the teens for the past few days. Snow expected Thursday. If it comes everything will grind to a halt.

I am in the Uk and we are going through a cold snap of 19''F- 28''F. Its the coldest I have known it in years. Our streets are covered in snow, gritters can''t get down and the schools are closed. DF is a teacher so he has got an extra day off! Unfortunately I work from home, so can''t take a snow day!

It's -4F here in Sweden too. Today is the coldest day we've had this winter thus far, and I'm supposed to walk my dog, that should be a lovely experience...

So, Travel Goddess, I feel ya!! I keep asking myself that question.

30 degrees and I''m in FL! A few weeks ago I had to put some pants on my little one and he said "what are these long shorts?" Hahaha. Now I really stumped him with the ski jacket and gloves. He tried to convince me it was too cold for school, but it didn''t work! Brrrr....I''m not used to this cold!

In central Illinois right now it''s 2 degrees and last night it got to -2 when the average low is 17. Someone said 6 inches of snow tonight, but it''s going to have to warm up considerably for that to happen.

It''s the coldest Winter in 40 years here. We always get a couple of days where the temperatures go right down and we usually get one or two days of snow per year, but this year it''s been snowing since before Christmas. It''s not actually all that cold compared to what you guys are dealing with, and it''s not all that much snow, but the country''s just not equipped to deal with it. All the footpaths and roads have iced over and they''ve never thawed - the main roads are gritted or salted but the side roads are hazardous and oh my God the footpaths are lethal.

In Anchorage it''s 29, it''s feeling kind of warm. But we have a chance of freezing rain which sucks, people seem to forget how to drive.
We went sledding this weekend and it was about -1 or -2, but we bundled up really well and it was not bad.
