I am about to purchase a round diamond in the $18,000 to $20,000 range. I plan on ordering a diamond from the internet. I would like to narrow my choice down to two or three diamonds, and some how get all of them shipped to me (or any other third party, such as an appraiser) to view and choose between, then return the ones I don''t choose. I am willing to pay $20,000 for the price of one diamond but can''t afford to put up $40,000 to $60,000 to pay for two or three. Is there a way to do this? If so, how?

You can often get them all sent to an independent appraiser. I don''t know which ones offer this service and which don''t but under resources up on the top bar there is a list of PS approved ones. Just run a search for one in your area.

Unless you are willing to buy them all and return the ones that don''t work (which you already said you can''t), I think this is the only/best way to view more than one.

Several vendors who frequent this forum are willing to send their diamonds out to a third party appraiser for a short period for a preview. They just like to get a feel that you are seriously interested.
