Can anyone out there help me? I know this is a diamond forum, but I know some of you out there have businesses and could help me.
I''m currently paying less than retail, but not wholesale prices, for settings and small diamonds. I buy gems off ebay and make rings, pendants,e tc. to sell on ebay. (just started) but I checked out Stuller.com (can''t view price list because I''m not a wholesaler) and I thought "I should become a business so I can buy some of this stuff!"
I currently buy unpolished settings in the diamond district for about $40 a 14K gold ring. I''m wondering how much cheaper I can get them and everything else.
I know I''ll need a tax id number, but I''m wondering if it''ll be worth it if I have to pay taxes. I plan to only sell 50+ items a year. Unless, I feel I could become successful and have my own website.... sorry, I''m back, I was just dreaming there.
Any advise is helpful.
Thank you,
Natanya

So does my brother-in-law. He'll drive me crazy trying to make it the way he wants it, but he's very talented.
Anyone else out there want to give me advice?
