How bad is this feather? Eye clean?

I am interested in this 1.25 carat, triple excellent, H, VS2...but I am concerned about the feather in the center of the stone. Would that be visible without magnification? Should I rule this one out?

a link to a 360 video is also here: www.bluenile.com search for stock# LD08210626

I would not be concerned with the feather as long as the stone is eye clean. However, the crown angle on this stone is too low. As I mentioned in your other post, these are measurements to help you stay in ideal cut territory with a GIA excellent cut stone.
table: 54-58
depth: 60-62.3
crown angle: 34-35.0 (sometimes 35.5 if the pavilion angle is 40.6)
pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0 if the crown angle is close to 34)

If you post your budget and desired specs, we could help you look...

Hi Ae5843,

I can't comment on a product directly but here are my observations:

As you’ve observed, the stone is highly magnified.

Secondly, the inclusion is more visible because of the angle of the photo. The inclusion happens to be right on top of a black arrow and is white which creates a large amount of contrast. Black on white is an extreme in terms of contrast. If the diamond was tilted a few degrees in any other angle, the inclusion would fall on top of a more grayish part of the diamond and would be very hard to make out because of the very small amount of contrast.

A good return policy would protect you for any eventuality though.

All the best,

Likely to be eye clean from 10-12" viewing distance. There's a reflection of it at around the 2 o'clock mark that could be pronged over in setting the stone so that one wouldn't notice "two" of them.
I know I'd rather a white coloured inclusion than a black coloured one.
