Good evening everyone!
We purchased my Ering in SF 5 years ago which I absolutely adore. Having said that, ever since I purchased ACA''s studs from WF almost one year ago, I can''t get over the fact how much they sparkle! My Ering Diamond is beautiful but even after I clean it does not sparkle as much. The diamond is GIA certified and has good specs (can''t remember from the top of my head) but can post if there is need.

So, I am thinking of getting ACA stone from WF or Brian Gavin. What are my options? I am not sure at this point what the upgrade policy is where we purchased the stone but even if they do have lifetime upgrade policy, I think I want to buy from WF or Brian. Can they buy the stone from me?
Thanks so much

No, they will not buy a diamond from you that I am aware of.

Have you considered recutting your diamond? Brian offers this service and there have been many happy campers that way. Depending on how your diamond is cut now, you may not lose very much ct weight or face up size, either.

Whiteflash won''t accept a trade in purchased elsewhere:

I don''t know what Brian Gavins policies are.

Here is an article you might find helpful

Big ditto. Brian is the master of recutting, I have seen many examples of his work. I would definitely call him and talk to him.

Ok. I have not thought about that option. I will contact him and ask his opinion.
Also thank you for the link I will read through it and see what my next steps are.
Thanks again!

Its definitely an idea, bear in mind though there will be a loss of weight involved depending on what standard of cut you decide to go for, also recutting isn''t without risk which the owner of the stone has to assume should the diamond break or shatter at the wheel. But this is unusual and Brian will be able to advise you as to the pros and cons.
