You are right @arkieb1 its more because of the colour than the name origin isn’t important to me I just have never seen a bad namya

Now you have. This one is shifty and not fluorescent, but definitely Namya origin, from a vendor many know here who cuts the stone from rough. This is a starter stone I bought two years ago before I knew what to look for.

Thanks @voce I really appreciate people taking the time to educate me. I am still learning about coloured stones and I will
Probably easily be taken in the more I can learn from people on here the better

HI:

To this day, two of my favorite pieces of jewellery I still own, came from Barbara from AC Stones. Back in the day, I stalked the brightest hottest pink sapphire but lost out when the sale day came. I still mourn that gorgeous stone and wished I had just bought it outright. I wonder if @chrono remembers this gem (or maybe she bought it!!)

cheers--Sharon

Ok I have kind of fallen in love with the colour of this stone.

Would love people’s thoughts.

It’s a spinel .75 and it’s 950 USD

Should I ask for additional pics or video? Is it too much for a stone this size?

Color looks phenomenal!!

But it also looks pretty included and (I think) slightly asymmetrical. Those aren’t deal killers, but should be taken into account with price. What do you think of them?

Pink from Chayton Marshall. Does anyone have references on him? Supposedly is sole supplier for Harry Winston/Van Cleef

Colour is king for me inclusions I don’t really mind I am quite attracted to stones that have a silliness or even opaque quality

A poor cut would bother me.

Maybe I should ask some questions about the cut

I might recommend getting video. Ideally they can rotate it around a bit and give you views from the bottom and sides so you can judge the cut.

Not mine but some memorable ones...

Mahenge spinel

Burmese sapphire

Unbelievable color irl. Really glowing.

Tho I’m not sure the mahenge is hot pink but irl the color was absolutely stunning. So that’s what I meant by the saturated ones. Unsaturated hot pinks are a bit more affordable.

That pear is insane. Do you own it? Curious to know where you snagged it if you do!

Small update. I managed to get a teeny tiny namya spinel (.3)

The colour is truly lovely it is so so small I am wondering how I can set it so it doesn’t get lost !

The AIG cert it confirms size and origin

I used to follow them but stopped. I may need to start again to find a gem like that!
