In Hong Kong for a holiday and there is a typhoon happening at the moment - very windy and the rain has not stopped....... quite eerie, we were in a huge shopping centre and they started closing all the doors and people were frantically running everywhere. We had about a 20 minute walk to get back to our hotel (in Mongkok). Stuck inside for a while now and the safest place to be. It has been rated an 8, so it's quite severe.
If this continues we won't make it across to Macau, bit of a shame. Lots of Diamond/Jewellery shops here - one retailer is almost on every corner - apparently, they are going to be bigger than Tiffany's here. Of course, I had to go in and have a look - I found the sales people to be very pushy and obnoxious, some very nice pieces though.
