Wedding Honest Optinion: Video- front page?

Alright, I would like some honest opinions - (no mushy soft ones unless you feel mushy and soft! ha ha)

Okay, so I decided to have a video guest book- we are traveling across the country for the wedding and the least amount of stuff to bring the better. So- this means, guest will all record their well wishes in groups/individually...whatever they like. We will also film the wedding and before the wedding (we''ll take snippits leading up to the wedding too..."our feelings" etc)
None of what we film will we check until we get back home (we stay in NB *where we used to live for two weeks)..
When I get back home, we will watch the video together and then I will edit it into an un-mushy movie ha ha.

So, I am starting to make some of the transitional pages (guest book, front page..etc) but I am going for simple and elegant.
I like what I''ve created but I want other opinions (and fear that if I show people I know- I will get above mentioned mushy soft opinions..real or not!)

As a side note, because I had to shrink the image- on the top left corner is our monogram..and bottom right are two lovebirds!

I love it! I like the contrast between the black and white and blue. Nice work!

I suppose I should add that the blue is one of the colors of the bridal party''s dress! (I actually took the color from the dress itself to make the front page.. ha ha)
I believe the third dress will be red, but I am not sure- whatever the third color is (blue black and..?) I will add some details on it..but minimal details to avoid crowding things.

Okay so above is the "front page" of the video- I wanted to share the guest book page as well!
Let me know thoughts on it as well please

I really like the guest book page.

I''m not a big fan of the video front page, though. I think I''d like it better with less blue and more damask.

So the monogram and the lovebirds are in the blue in the unshrunk version? If not, I honestly could not see them at all until I went hunting for them--especially the monogram. I might put them on either side of the date instead.

Haven: I know what you mean- I did the front page first...haha and now that I look at both completed I love the guest book much more- I will probably re-do the front page somehow..although I do plan to add a third color (probably red like in the guest book- although that color is subject to change to my sisters dress color!) Thanks for the feedback



Katamari: the birds and monogram are on the picture I posted (I''ll highlight them in the attachment) BUT because it is shrunk, hard to see- I thought of putting them next to the date..but I didn''t want them to be obvious- I think I liked the idea of them being "secret" things that most won''t notice...ha ha

I really like the guest book front page, but I agree that the video front page would look better with some modifications. I really like that old typewriter font you''re using. Such a relief from the usual curli-cue script fonts. I also LOVE that you are incorporating your monogram and the love birds as "secret" items...much like the old master painters during medieval and renaissance periods.

I showed them to Dan and he was like...monogram? WHERE! hahaha.. and then I showed him and he was like ooooo! lol I actually am going to put the lovebirds on the guest book somewhere too I think! ha ha.
I love that old type writer font- I debated with 5 billion fonts, I hate that on the guest book page you can''t see it as well as on the front page (because of the size I suppose)- so I will figure a way to update the front page. ha ha.
Thanks for your feedback though.. pretty sure I''ve decided to modify the front page- I''m not sure what to do though- I''ve played with it SO much that my brain refuses to think anymore.
I''ll try to figure it out .. hehe

Okay, so this is just a rough draft- but I decided to try editing this way (I wish I could just STOP but my mind hates not completing things..gah!)
This is not "finished" but let me know vs the first front page to this one- what you think?

ETA: I will be adding some red (or whatever the third color is, like the guest book page-maybe I should play with that to help with the picture) part of the reason I think I like the guest book page as much is because of the break in color..hmmph.
