This looks huge..
I wonder if it''s real..

Here are some specs..

Main stone:
CARAT: 18.4 x 11.65mms x 4.2 (6.57cts.est)
COLOUR: H-I Drawing colour from yellow setting
CLARITY: SI1
CUT: Pear (modified double rose cut)

Apparently there is no certificate, and it costs $40 000..

I''d imagine such diamond would be worth a bit more than that..

I''m not sure if it''s my screen or what, but that diamond looks way yellow. It also looks more like an I2 - maybe I''m misreading the image, but it looks like a giant cloud/feather right in the middle. The Seller has no feedback. I wouldn''t touch it.

Would you actually buy a diamond from e-bay?

There is no way it''s picking up THAT much color from the setting! And not a fan of that double rose cut or whatever they call it. I think I just found out what a *too big* pear looks like.

The seller says it is graded as a fancy yellow.

In one of the photos, it looks brownish grey to me. In the others it does look yellow.

The seller is in AU, so guess you could hire Garry H to check it out, if your serious. It could be a good buy if it is what they say it is. But no one can tell from just photos and numbers. It bears having it checked out if you really have a serious interest in it.

Maybe the seller will show it to him or Johan (MDX).

Hi RocDoc. I think you may have scanned the description too fast. The "Principal", i.e. - the center stone, is graded as H-I. The "Shoulder" diamonds are graded fancy yellow. I had to check it again myself....

I don''t know if I''m missing something, but the description does not match the picture...
