I''m wondering if I could get some guidance on a purchase.

I have two diamonds to choose from (see below). As you can see, the one with the better HCA score (0.3) is smaller (1.07)and more expensive. Is the smaller stone still a better value because of its great HCA score, or am I just paying for a level of clarty (vs1) that I may not really need? Also, How much difference is there visually between a diamond with an HCA score of 2 vs. one w/ an HCA score of 0.3?

Thanks for any advice!

Diamond #1:
1.16 carat
E
SI1
depth%=62.1
table%=56
excellent polish; excellent symmetry
34.7 crown angle
41 pavilion angle
HCA score=2
price is $7000

Diamond #2:
1.07 carat
E
VS1
depth%=60.2
table%=56.2
excellent polish; excellent symmetry
34.0 crown angle
40.5 pavilion angle
HCA score is 0.3
price is $8000

Thanks for your reply. I guess I am not as much interested in its "value" as I am about how the diamond looks- how it sparkles, its brilliance and fire.

Is the difference between a 0.2 HCA score and a 2.0 HCA score significant to the eye? Or do I need more info, like an idel scope picture, of them?

Thanks again.
