Hi all
me and my girlfriend have been E-Ring browsing in past 2 weeks
and we narrowed down into these 2 brand
she can''t decide on which one to get and she wants me to choose
these 2 are totally different style
HOF is modern and the side stones are bigger and they REALLY shine
Tacori is unique, a different look, the model that we saw was a 2008 new release and she loved the band that goes with it (BTW Mr. Tacori presented the ring to us)

I can''t decide >"< please help me
My diamond is
1.06 Carat, VS1, G
HOF semi-mount cost $3400 but it only can hold up to 0.5 carat so I would need to have my jewerler to change to a 1.0 carat prong
Tacori mount cost $5400....is more expensive but Mr. Tacori said the model is new and is one of their classic so is TIMELESS
I couldn''t find the picture for Tacori but it is similar to the picture below

and here is a pic of Hearts on fire semi-mount
the side stones are HOF diamond so which are perfect cut

Looks like we are all a little partial to Tacori!!! LOL!

The Tacori is beautiful!

Another vote for the Tacori. That HOF setting looks like they forgot to stick the head on and just plunked it down at the last minute, sorry

ETA - the view from the top is gorgeous though!

I voted for the Tacori too. The head of the HoF setting seems to be an afterthought. The Tacori one seems to flow more...

Tacori is really popular in this forum!!!!!

tacori is classic beauty!!

me too - hands down!!

Apparently I''m the only one who has voted for HOF so far! The Tacori is a bit too busy for me and I like the simpler setting with not as much engraving and intricate detail.

My girlfriend thought she always likes simpler setting
but after we went to Tacori trunk show.......she was amazed by the designs
we viewed over 30 rings and she narrowed down into 1 tacori

totally 2 different styles that''s why is so hard to decide....

I would say HOF, but only if the head wasn''t so awful! It doesn''t flow with the ring at all. Between those two, I''d go Tacori.

The Tacori is just gorgeous!!!!

I have a Tacori, so I''m biased :) But I also like the picture of the Tacori mount you posted better than the HOF one.

I like them both, but I voted for the HOF one. A wedding band would be able to sit flush with it...plus I love the quality of those HOF melee. Tacori is gorgeous too, I don''t think you can go wrong either way.

Actually...i would keep looking...I just saw the prices of those mountings. If I were your girl, I''d put more money into the center diamond and less on the setting...just my opinion.

I already have the center stone
so I just need a perfect setting to set it on

Of the two, the Tacori is much nicer. It is just too bad the setting does not easily allow for a larger stone and it makes me wonder whether setting a larger stone in it will throw off the balance of the design. I could just be paranoid though.

Another Tacori vote here!

I have a Tacori set so I had to vote for them! Good luck with your decision.

The Tacori is a much more classic design. The HOF is just sort of .. meh. Tacori, definitely.
Ditto, Tacori is my dream setting...

I normally like HOF rings. But this one i do not. The head is just sorta dropped on top and doesn''t flow with the ring at all. Between these two settings the Tacori wins hands down. It''s a very beautiful setting.

My jewerler told me HOF is ranked top 3 in Designer jewelry
I believed Scott Kay is number one
MAn!!!! I am a label whore

based on pics alone, it''s Tacori all the way. That setting is just too beautiful for words!

I don''t have much respect for Tacori because they de-valued their own name by mass-selling plated CZ junk on QVC home shopping network. Would you want people standing next to your fiance at a check-out counter to be thinking that your expensive ring is only costume jewelry? Aside from that, I agree that the setting is too busy. With the amount of money you''re willing to spend, you can find a more elegant and classy ring.

I voted for the Tacori for the same reasons Honey, Melanie and Deelight posted.

Tacori!! My stone is going to be set in a Tacori setting and I can''t tell you how much I love them. The pictures are always taken from an angle and I personally think they look different than they do in person. Top down I bet it is amazing1
