This one is really nice!
Just look at that profile! Nice carving work. She is carved from helmet shell, probably in Italy.
Based on the classical subject, I would say she is late Victorian, 1870s- 1900.
The goddess is Diana. (See the moon in her hair.)
It has some repairs, which is a good sign that someone thought enough of it to have it fixed.
It looks like rose gold, but you should have the metal tested, as I see no mark.
What a great find!

Honestly wow, I'm lost for words. Your knowledge is amazing. I have fallen in love with this brooch. I bought it with about 7 other pieces for 6 pound a couple of days ago. I genuinely had no idea it was in there. Such a nice surprise. We can't find any marks either, so I did think it was a bit of rubbish until a friend said they think it would go for a few hundred pounds. I nearly choked. Haha thank you so much.

I love it too! I hope you wear it!
You might thread a chain through that top part of the frame and wear it as a necklace.
It would look stunning!

This looks like the Annunciation of Mary.....
Without Mary!
The carving is not a nice as your other cameo. Its a pretty frame, maybe dating around 1900-1915? Just a guess.

Haha! Something about the angel offering a lily......the image sent me right back to my Catholic childhood!

Haha me too, a catholic school girl here . It wasn't until stracci mentioned that I realised.

I was Catholic early on in my childhood too but apparently I learned absolutely nothing.

For me, it was all about the art!
In church, I didn't really listen. I was too busy ogling the stained glass windows, and all the paintings and statuary. I guess I retained something!

This one is Diana the Huntress, too. She has the quiver of arrows on her back in addition to the crescent moon.
Unfortunately, she's just not as awesome as your first Diana, which is stunning.
But this one has the same frame? Odd.
Anyway, two's a pair and three's a collection!

Well, this one is costume jewelry, because the stones are glued in.
Probably 1940s....ribbons and bows were popular motifs at the time.
The RG be may be referring to rolled gold, which is a kind of plating.
But rolled gold items tend to be higher quality than what this pin appears to be.
It's pretty!

Completly off top if but i have to share
on my way to work i pass the Catholic high school and they have the most darling little woodern church (evidently it was moved there from a few blocks away years ago as the school is only 20 years old)
Anyeay anyway yesterday two girls where sitting out on the grass looking up at the church.they had constructed the most beautuful little models of the church i just had to compliment them
I can't beleave this old picture is the only one i can find of it

Here is a great resource for identifying your pieces. Under "how to use" , you can look up the subject and details on your cameo to find out what god/goddess it is.
