I was reading mrssalvo''s thread about your day in Chicago and clicked into the thread describing your upgrade journey which then led me to the dog in the river thread and then realized... we live in the same neighborhood! I live about 3 blocks from you on the other side of the river. How funny!

So now while I''m walking around the neighborhood or when I stop in Caribou I''ll be checking everyone''s rings cause I''ve never seen one around here as fabulous as yours and I''ll know it''s you. And you''ll know who I am... I''ll be the one picking my jaw up from the floor! hehe

Anyway, just wanted to say ''hi neighbor''!

Hey there! How funny--what a very small world! I ran in to the Carabou on Kingsbury on Sunday to get a quick cup of coffe, so maybe we saw each other and didn''t even know it.

My husband is usually the one walking the dog, so if you ever see them just tell him you''re one of the Pricescope people. He hears so much about PS that it''s almost become a "place" in his mind, LOL.

Well... now I''ll have to keep an eye out for your husband and dog, too. If I see him I''ll mention it. Er... so... what would I say to him? ''Are you the gentleman that took a swim in the river to save your dog and your wife has a ginormous e-ring?''

hehe However, by the looks of your new setting I''m thinking it''d be easier to spot you with the ring! I''m pretty sure I could see you from a few city blocks away with that thing! Congratulations of finding ''the one''!!

Portia, you are too funny! Amazingly the story about the swim in the river has spread around the neighborhood and people have come up to Bill to ask him about it. (I think they recognize The Demon Dog more than they recognize my happy hubby, LOL.)

Give me ''till Christmas or so before the new setting arrives. Until they it just same ol'' diamond in the same ol'' setting.

OMG! That is hilarious!! I mean... not too many people can say they''ve gone for a ''swim'' in the Chicago river. That is too sweet that he jumped in to save the dog.

My husband went kayaking last summer and launched at Clark Park up north. He said he saw a couple that were having some trouble in a double kayak and they went over. The girlfriend was not too pleased with her boyfriend and was quite colorful in her language! They had to swim back to the launch spot to get out of the water. EWWWWWW!!! I''m not completely innocent though... I''ve been kayaking in the river a couple of times, too. Just haven''t fallen in........ yet.

Anyway, hope to see you around the neighborhood sometime!
