Thanks to help from fellow PS's I bought this engagement ring and proposed on a trip to Thailand in Oct 2008. We are getting married this year on March 20th and have been hunting for some wedding bands. I have a thread in RockyTalk but it isn't getting much feedback so hopefully some of the regulars in SMTR will be able to add a bit more.

Here is a bunch of detailed photos of the engagement ring - **Link removed by Moderator. We were looking at a pave look but are pretty open to other designs. The width would have be a maximum of 3.5mm.

For myself I have found a preference for white gold but am open to platinum. I like the look of having some yellow gold or another metal on one side of the band (not the racing car stripe look).

What metal is the ering? I would get the bands in the same metal if they are going to be worn together.

Your ering is also a classic solitaire design so there many options that would go well with it.

Some considerations which may help us give you sugestions are:

1. do you want matching wedding bands with your hubby (this, believe it or not, is really hard to do unless you both get pain bands!)

2. do you want a modern or more traditional look, or even an antique look?

3. do you want to stack more than one band with your set?

4. how hard are you on your hands? (some settings are bit more practical and stronger than others)

It''s such a classic design that I think that almost any band would look wonderful with it!

ditto! That ring will give you lots of options! :) Have fun! I love living vicariously through people who are picking out wedding bands :)

I agree-do you want to match the metal or go pave, shared prong, scattered diamonds, a pop of color...? You really could go any direction
