Proportions are a matter of opinion. I happen to like larger size stones for presence and coverage. I think the ring is gorgeous and using a family stone makes it so special
It looks fantastic and has a lot of finger coverage! I have a 3 stone as well and my side stones are also very close in size to my center stone like yours. It makes for a very blingy ring. You did a great job! Enjoy!
I have a similarly proportioned three stone (sapphire and two diamonds) that I wear as a combo engagement/wedding band. I love it and get compliments on it all the time--worn on the third finger of the left hand and people know what it is....
I will say that at that height it might have a tendency to get caught when putting hands in pockets, etc. Because it is not a solitare, it won't slide to the side quite as easily. You might let her know after she's received the ring with great delight that if she prefers that you can have the setting lowered if she wants.
I don''t think it looks like an anniversary band at all, honestly. I think it''s gorgeous! Like some previous posters said, it''s a bit high for my taste, but that''s just me being nit-picky. It''s a personal preference thing.
