Have you run it through the HCA? I would inquire about the comment of additional clouds not shown... make sure there are no transparency issues. Also, have you seen a J color in person to be sure you are okay with that color? These are just the things I would verify.

Yes I have J color in my ears and I have been told that it shows so sparkly and white. I will run it throug HCA thanks and I am waiting on a video and photos as its out of state thanks for the feedback

I think the 35c/40.8p combo can potentially be tricky - would Yuketiel be able to provide an ASET black and/or ASET white image to help identify if there are any potential areas of leakage?

I reckon it will be just fine, but good to check if they have the ability to do so :))

HCA:

Fire:

Scintillation:

I think Clouds not Shown as fourth comment in the list should mean there are unlikely to be any issues! But as Garry has noted, even D IF can be 'sleepy' because GIA does not grade material transparency... lol

I have a 35/40.8 and I know there has been much discussion here about that combo being "if-y". Mine also got all excellent on HCA for Fire, Scintillation, and Light Return. I can tell you that the performance is very similar to my BGD AGS000, so I don't know what to say about that.
I think the video will be really helpful.
@heididdl the only thing I will say about the color is that the viewing is different when in the ears versus in a ring where you see it at much closer range and rings are usually "scrutinized" more closely and viewed more closely and the side view is often visible, depending on the type of mounting. With that said, I think in a 1.40 ct it won't be as prominent as would be the case in a larger stone. I am admittedly very color sensitive... I think my super ideal in H is too warm lol. The video will be very helpful. Request that they send video of the ring in different lighting settings.

Thanks as I just tried to do the HCA and it keeps telling me the total depth % entered sugggests the girdle is overly thick and it wouldn't allow me to go further so thanks for posting. Ill ask I think my daughter is pretty excited waiting for video. I think this stone is a lot of bang for the budget. So appreciate your looking this up for me. Her girl friend is not color sensitive and although I wanted to stick g/h. I have been told this is a spectacular stone.

It was the 1st comment. That often means there were just too many clouds to plot, hence the comments section. So good thing OP will verify.

60.9% depth is not too deep so no worries there!

Nice

I always get a bit wary when I see this combo as well. However, I have 35/40.8, 1.62ct and it is a fire bomb (it is also GIA so I wonder if the 35 is closer to 34.5) - would have to get Sarin report to be sure. I would strongly encourage OP to see the diamond in person.

Also, like you, I am color sensitive. I tried to convince myself that warmth ads to the diamond character. It might. But not for me. I got my CBI stone in H only because they told me it was a high H and it was also the only way/compromise I was willing to make to cross the 2ct line and get the size I wanted (2.13ct).

I had that issue too when just putting in the grading report number from the GIA site (7343074905) into the HCA tool - I had to enter the figures manually to get the result!

Not sure why that is but I'll tag @Garry H (Cut Nut) here, just to flag it up :)

As long as she is ok with the J, I’m sure it will be lovely.

The ASETscope and IdealScope images are somewhat over-exposed, but as long as no areas are lighter than the lightest area within the very centre circle, there should not be any significant leakage, if I understand things correctly :)

A SARIN scan would tell you all the angles and identify the variance in any particular set of facets, but I'm not sure if IDJ offer that (and it might be overkill, lol).

Not an expert :) but I think it looks good in the videos - very clean in Video 2, I would never have guessed SI clarity! I think it looks like it's definitely 'PS-quality' :D lol

To make completely sure, do check the IDJ Returns policy, just so you are completely comfortable and buy in full awareness :)

Beautiful!

Personally, I would trust Yekutiel. Good luck to you.

Thank you we bought the stone waiting for him to go to the office to place the stones in different settings so she can choose. Just wants some simple pave stones 3/4 down the sides with low crown
