When I was shopping for my sapphire, I found myself reading lots of old threads that really helped me out. Often times, I would do countless searches to find these threads again when I wanted to re-read them. I thought I would start a list of helpful threads for people to use in their search. I was hoping people who did research on PS for other colored stones could post their most helpful threads as well.

Whence this cornflower blue some fun pictures that try to show stones that represent "traditional" discriptions of sapphires. Cornflowers included.
A nice thread that goes over some of the basics for someone looking to buy a sapphire for the first time
